| One of the primary concerns of Lambda Theta Alpha has been and continues to be the growth and diversity of its sisterhood. For this reason, the "Interested Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha" was established as an interest group. The Sisters of Lambda Theta Alpha take great pride in their interest groups and devote much time to their success. As the first Latin sorority ever created to cater towards the needs of Latinas in the nation, Lambda Theta Alpha recognizes the importance of reaching out to others and forming a united coalition of professional, culturally diverse and politically aware women. We are not an exclusive group of women, and believe that all women alike should be given an opportunity to make their mark on the world;"Latin by Tradition, not by Definition". The purpose of the Interested Ladies is to establish working, and social relationships with Sisters, as well as other Interested Ladies.
